So for moving to PlusNet it will cost me £191.95 (Line rental saver plus £2.49 BB plus postage of router) minus £100 quidco cashback and £75 PlusNet cashback. Total of £16.75.
I'm hoping Quidco repeats the (£100 Cashback) offer soon.

What telephone number is the MAC team, as I telephoned Sky again, got through to Retention's to request it, and was told I didn't need one ! ?
Also she told me that there were no reduction deals available to me and leave if I wanted to. !
What exactly is your offer from Sky ? ( you say you are saving an awful lot of money without giving specifics.).
I was on standard rates and from 1 December would have paid:
TV (Variety) = £28
BB Unlimited = £7.5
Line Rental (wef 1 Dec) = £16.4
Talk International = £10
1571 voicemail (wef 1 Dec) = £1
So, total outgoing per month = £62.9, or per year = £754.8
Switching to Plusnet for BB & Phone but retaining Sky TV (as was my plan) would have costed me the following (was told by the SKy rep. that Plusnet will also be revising their tariffs from 1 Jan, similar to Sky, but I have not factored those in):
Sky TV (Variety) = £28
Plusnet Line Rental saver = £155.88 (upfront)
Plusnet BB Unlimited = £2.49
Plusnet Talk International (only 300 min. vs. Sky's unlimited) = £7
Caller Display = £1
Router P&P (one off) = £5.99
Minus Plusnet cashback offer = -£75
So, total outgoing per month = £45.73, or per year = £548.75
The BB & Phone switch to Plusnet would have saved me 754.8 - 548.75 = £206.05 over a year.
Here's the new Sky deal I got today:
Sky TV (Variety) = £24.5
Sky Line Rental = £10
Sky BB Unlimited = Free
Sky Talk International = £10
Sky 1571 Voicemail = Free
Outgoing per month = £44.5, or per year = £534
£14.75 better off if I were to switch to Plusnet .
£220.8 better off as compared to standard Sky rates that I was on till before the phone call.
Between my partner and I, have been with Sky for last 7 years but never called them before for deals (stupid us) except for benefiting from one std. promotion available when we moved home last year and I opened a new sky account under my name to be eligible for that offer.
So, today was the very first try. Got lucky!!:T0 -
The contract (as detailed in post above from 2014) ended last week, so called Sky retention team today to try my luck again.
The following is what I managed to negotiate:
Sky TV (Variety Bundle) = £15 (normal £30)
Line rental = £14.5 (normal £17.4)
Broadband Unlimited = £0 (normal £7.5)
Talk International Extra = £12 (normal £12)
Monthly outflow = £41.5 (normal £66.9)
Monthly savings = £25.4 or annual savings = £304.8
Happy!

I have BB + Line rental for £16.40 (now £17.40), they simply wouldn't budge for me. I've initiated a switch to Plusnet offer still they didn't offer anything when I called later.
They did send a £100 gift card just 3 months ago when I signed up though so may be they are reluctant to offer further discounts?0
