Malaga airport carhire help

I've been checking carhire prices (on broker sites) for a week from Malaga airport and see that most rentals are for full (or half) tank of fuel return empty.
Does anyone know what sort of prices are charged for a tank full of fuel for say a compact or just how much dearer per litre of fuel the charge is?
Can anyone recommend a car rental firm? Thanks.
