Really hoping they don't change the internet banking in the future. In my opinion, Lloyds have the most clear and easy to use internet banking in the UK. It'll be a real shame! Overall though, I think the changes announced seem fairly positive, and I'll be sticking with my current Lloyds bank accounts "For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream" - Vincent van Gogh :hello:0

I have a bank account and credit card with lloyds tsb scotland, will my credit card also be effected?
I use it to collect airmiles and wondered if this offer would stop once it has been switched or does this depend on what the new 'owners' decide?[STRIKE]Beggars cant be choosers, but savers can![/STRIKE]That used to be the case :mad:0 -
Very pleased that there will be an option to stay. I bank with Lloyds for a reason, and don't want to be forced in to something I didn't decide to do.0

I wonder if there will be an interest rate differential for savings or mortgages once completed??0

The things that worry me about this "forced change" is that if you elect to stay with LloydsTSB the branch to which your account is allocated will in all probability not be a local one and there could be every likelihood that your new account will be a fee paying account.
I shall see what is on offer and vote with my feet if it doesn't suit me.
I'm lucky that I've kept a few "free banking" accounts open with other banks and shall transfer my domestic banking to one of them should the need arise!0 -
I thought id give this thread mouth to mouth to bring it back to life.

Your account number and sort code will remain the same - the account terms will stay the same unless you decide to change the type of account.
You will be able to conduct all/any business with Lloyds in future that you can do now - or by internet or by phone.0 -
My bank account was due to move but I went into the bank yesterday and the account manager said that she could make a call as I was unhappy about moving.
During the call she was asked why I wanted to stay with LLoyds (because the the new bank branch is miles away and would involve parking fees and less convenience).
It was agreed that I could stay but I was told that my sorting code would definitely change and possibly my account numbers too.0 -

Did they not just change the sort code from 72-50-0x to 09-01-3x?Like all the Alliance and Leicester ones did? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
