Well you will be able to...

As Airmiles is no longer a company in the UK they have to arrange new agreements with the other airlines such as BMI who flew from the smaller airports.... As such you can only book BA flights internally which is a killer as we could normally fly from LBA but now have to fly from MAN.

ok cheers but i dont get what you mean

with the well you will able to, as all ready spoken to airmiles and they say they dont have contracts, anymore only with ba now

  • But could not as Air Miles / Avios stopped selling Emirates flights on 16th November and there was no availability on BA.

This change is wrong on so many levels....
  • Anyone booked today? Or tried and given up? I've left it until the last minute and wondering if I have any hope.

It closes at 8pm, so you've got about 40mins to go.

OH just hung on for an hour only to be told that only airmiles earned through shopping qualify for the 8pm cut off tonight. If (as his) airmiles are from flying and you've been moved across to Avios, then booking by 8pm tonight is irrelevant. You have to go via BA exec club booking as per your airmiles level and pay their exorbitant fees and charges as well as redeem your miles.

Hope this helps someone in time to stop them wasting too many ££s spent on 0844 no as it wasn't clear from the article.
Woman on the line seemed to be quite aware that this was a common misunderstanding.
