disgusting and i don't believe that there is more demand. i live by myself and have hardly anything switched on in the day whilst i am at work earning my pitance and i don't regularly use my cooker. my bill is shockingly expensive its in the £200's a quarter and my repayments are £22 a week this is DISGUSTING there is NO WAY this is sustainable.
The government are going into these oil rich countries to stabilize the prices and have direct control over the oil; this is the only reason why we are in these countries otherwise we would be in the Africa and other countries (no oil) getting rid of the long time established despots ruling and killing/attacking their own.
anyway the government need to step in here, utilities are the lifeblood of every single being and it should not be charging this much for little usage.My Signature is MY OWN!!0 -
An entire family could get by on £66 or £90 per month. Fixed till 1st July.
So I have May and June to persuade the 1.3 billion Chinese people to get their bicycles back out, achieve world peace, so I can save £200 a year on my energy bill.0 -

I think that a little less talk about energy price hikes would be beneficial to customers. Energy web sites and the media make it easier for the energy companies to hike prices having already created the expectation.

For just Gas/Electric, yes they could. However, there is no way a family could survive on an income of just £90 a month. How would they keep a roof over their heads for one?0 -

I am on just about the best tariff available to me yes.
on the latter question I dont know as noone will take responsibility for the meter accuracy.
Of course for gas its explainable to an extenct, my boiler is old and crappy so wont be efficient, add the fact I have poor insulation it compounds that problem.
However electric I really want the meter checked but feel its wrong that I should pay a huge fee for it. Also asked for advice on how to look for signs my supply may be tapped but I get met with silence.0 -
