I've bought tickets for Liverpool and it said that if you are buying tickets as a gift you need to contact the box office within 7 days to have their names put on the tickets. Perhaps you could do this? :)
  • poshpants- :( at the extra set of tickets you don't want!!
so you phoned the customer services and they said you'll have to go to both...thats rubbish!!

I only after I had purchased them read all the terms and conditions in the e-mail they sent..so probably my fault..although it doesnt fully tell you when your booking, just to take your card you paid on and the confirmation booking number.

carerra74..hmm at the men it says dont buy them as a gift! choose other seats instead.
Wish I had booked for Liverpool, then it would be easy to change the name!
  • Hi,

I saw the tickets yesterday and wanted some, however as a poor student I had asked my mum if she would pay for them and let me pay her back once my next loan installment is paid to me. Once id gotten through to the payment part of the process, ticketmasters terms and conditions stated that the card holder would be the only one able to collect them and that they would have to be attending the event also. I was sure I had not seen this in the terms of any other ticket purchases i had been through. I decided to phone them and got through to a customer service representative who said that my mum would not be able to put the tickets on her card if she was not going to be attending, and that no letters of authorisation would be accepted for this even either. She also said that the ticket sellers are being incredibly strict with their terms and conditions for this event as the tickets are so sought after. The only way to get around this problem would be for my mum to purchase a gift card for me on her credit card and then i would be able to purchase the tickets in my name

    Hope this information helps

Did something similar in Cardiff last year - my friend bought 3 tix for her, me and another friend, but then had problems with family and couldn't go - she called the box office, gave me a covering letter, and we picked them up no problem (although I should add we got there early on the day when the box office were not under lots of pressure).

I have the same problem. I bought Lady Gaga's concert but have an emergency on concert date. So I have no choice but to give it to my friend but I don't know if she can pick up the tickets for me. Oh well, I will try to give them a call. I do hope they're not so strict. :(
  • Very jealous I tried to get tickets but the only ones available seem to be on the side of the stage and quite far back :-(
If your sister does not want to go I will buy them!! :D x
