DEAL court claims HELP!!!!

Hi everyone just need some help and guidance please:

Basically DEAL sent me a some letters regarding some fines I ignored them as thats the advise I got when I read forums etc.

Then I received a court claim letter from DEAL signed by the solicitor mr M schwartz I filed my defense and sent it to the the courts and also deal.

I then received the directions questionnaire and sent it to the completed copy to the courts and also DEAL.

I then received a letter stating the court dates and also the allocation to the courts.

Recently I just received a witness statement from DEAL with regards to the whole case from a 'ashleigh cohen' acting on behalf of deal. Witness statement is in depth it states that it has a picture of the sign along with my car on the witness statement but they have not put it on the statement? Also they have threatened me that with them having to pay the court fees along with a charge for them to writing the witness statment, preparing the hearing and also for them attending court. The total adds upto around £500, I'm worried that if they do turn up on the day and if I loose i might end up paying this amount? I am starting to bottle it and I am thinking shall i just pay the £215?

I rang my local court stating and asked if they paid the hearing fee they stated that they had but only after the court sent them some sort of reminder. I also told the guy from the courts that I spoke to that I had not received their directions questionnaire he told me that he would add this to the file and I could bring it up in court.

They have told me that I have 7 days to reply, since I got this letter last week I only have a couple of days I would really appreciate any help or advise.

Also if someone could help me and advise me what I could write in my witness statement if needed that would be great also.

Don't panic, and don't pay. You will win this as long as you use the correct points for defence. Get over to the Parking-Prankster's blog site and buy his court guide. It's cheap and very useful.

Also read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES at the top of the main page here especially the bit about being at the court stage. DEAL and CEL are in deep do-do. They never turn up to court and are facing criminal charges in Scotland. Mr Schwarz does not exist. He is not a solicitor and the company has been repeatedly reported to the Solicitors association about this.

Get reading on other CEL/DEAL threads. Do a search on those words to find out how others have successfully defended this sort of thing.

DEAL/CEL are known to 'phone people a day or two before the court date and imply that the case has been cancelled. Don't believe a word if they do. Turn up in court and you will win. Get itemised expenses, time off work, travelling, lunch etcetera, and claim it back when you win.

Have no further dealings with DEAL/CEL, only the court... and again, do not pay!

These lot never turn up. They often don't pay their court fees either.

They only time they are likely to turn up is this Wednesday in Scotland. That's because they are facing criminal charges because of their behavior.If they don't attend they have been told they will be arrested. You might want to mention that in your defence.

DEAL cases are getting struck out left, right and centre at the moment. Go check the Prankster blog, also pepipoo & leagalbeagles. You should make your court aware of what's happening elsewhere by sending them the copies of the strike-outs elsewhere, and ask if similar ought to be done here.

IMO DEAL/CEL are on their way out in a pretty spectacular way.

A quick update

I have just put the phone down from a call from DEAL asking if I wished to make an offer in response to their claim. I made it clear in no uncertain terms that I DID NOT wish to make an offer. Nice try DEAL but you're not getting a penny out of me.

I have made a note and will add this to their list of unreasonable behaviour when asking the Court for costs.

It looks as though DEAL are hitting the phones today. Somebody else on PPP has just reported a call from them offering an out-of-court settlement . They were told politely "see you in court"

Remember, you only get one call from a cell. They need to get them all in now, and then off to Boots to get some soap-on-a-rope (far harder to drop in the showers).

DEAL are after my Scalp aover this can of worms but there is No solicitor named M schwartz never was they invented it
Forward the claim form to contactcentre@sra.org.uk informing them you as many others have they are falsely claiming to be a solicitor by "inventing one" and issuing litigation using this fake solicitor also ask the SRA as this must be the umpteenth complaint against this form and bogus solicitor scam what exactly are they going to do about it ?
They company obviously are not afraid of the SRA as they are just increasing the deception due to the SRA failing to do anything about it.

You should also file a defence amendment detailing the information that they have invented a fictitious solicitor who has been ordered to attend courts for identification and failed.
