O/s Daily Wednesday 19th June

This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine

Halight, put something on or you'll make me blush! Chin up love, we're all thinking of you, I hope it all goes ok, try not to fret.
Still no car, DS ordered the battery & they sent the wrong one, so he'll be back again tonight & I'll feed him again.
Time I got a wiggle on as I'm walking to work again.
    Have a good day everyone.

Can chickens REALLY be cleverer than a toddler? Studies suggest animals can master numeracy and basic engineering
Chicken’s exhibit intelligent behaviour within just a few hours of hatching
It takes children until the age of four to accomplish similar feats
Study says we should realise that the birds have ‘many hidden depths’

    Morning everyone

Halight - hope it all goes ok this afternoon, we're all thinking of you x

Hugs to all those that are feeling sad/poorly x

Cloudy, sun trying to break through but dry start to the day here.

DH up and off to work stupid early.

Dinner last night was LO lamb cooked in a pot of gravy, LO cauli/broc cheese, carrots, peas, green beans, mash, LO yorkshires etc - all eaten and enjoyed and no waste. Dessert from the tins/fridge for those that had room. Tonight the menfolk will be eating scampi, chips and peas, I'll be having omlette and salad, DS2 is making cheesecake at school - so that should be dessert if all goes well! I will be taking him and collecting him today as he couldn't get all his cooking stuff, pe kit etc on to his bike safely, as it's my half day I'll take him and collect him later.

Work yesterday started off very slowly and then we had a mad 2-3 hours when everyone came in together - typical! We'll see what today brings - only working until lunchtime then have all the normal stuff to do and I think DS1 wants to go to town to put some money in his new bank account now that all the cards/pin/info etc has arrived! He wants me to show him how to use the cash machine!

Cold feeling better this morning - but has left me with a croaky throat so will make sure I'm drinking plenty of water etc.

    Keep safe and well x

    Hester :rotfl:

Halight That feeling is called nerves! Good luck today.

ttftm obviously the best people give birth today!

Early morning today. Everyone was in my bed opening DS1's presents. He now has his GoT box sets, ds game, graphic novels, clothes, lots of cash and iTunes vouchers. Even though he's at school today he's happy. He has his art mock so can spend all day drawing and painting. We will have a take away or meal out tonight to celebrate.

I'm planning on gardening today. It's a mess!

Hester - hope Minder is better and that work is tolerable.

Im struggling with OS. Life is difficult but must keep on plodding.

Hope you have a good day x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
