Well inspired by Rayday post reminding us Xmas is just 6 months away :D it made me think that if I got my butt in gear I could clear our MBNA card by then.

I'll join if I can. I have 1 debt - my overdraft. I've just done the figures and with this months salary minus bills plus food shopping, I think it will stand at around £1250 this time next month (so it gives me time to get going with ways to get the money in!)
I'll start with that figure if I can pleaseI think I might put the money as it dribbles to me me in a separate account so I can see it building.

I will join too please. I would like to clear my Barclaycard (£340) and my Capital One card (£1,100).
This is going to be quite difficult for me as I move into my first house next month and things are going to be tight.

oh dear..........just realised that's £250 a month to find!!!
blimey........gulp.......oh well, better to face it now than it get larger - been there, done that, paid it off and now I've suffered a little slip back into the red.
The first mini challenge will be then for it to be less than £1250 by this time next month by cutting back as much as possible on my already meagre food shopping budget to start me off!Pay off a Debt by Christmas 2008 Challenge: £1500 overdraftTotal paid off: £235Comping: July wins: The Who tribute band tickets (£24), MP3 download, Man Utd DVD (£17), Life's too F'ing short book (£13)0 -
