Orange-read This If You Pay £8 For 30mb Mobile Web

Options
http://www1.orange.co.uk/service_plans/downloads/pm_price_guides.pdf

SEE PAGE 19!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm on 30MB for £8-this says 250MB for £8!!!!! But they won't let me have it.

Orange say-its only if you're on a "Panther" plan. Does anyone else agree with me that its totally unclear and doesn't say this "Panther" plan only condition anywhere else?! I'm on "Canary" tweet tweet etc.

And the attitude as per usual from Orange is put up with it and get off the phone...........................

Anyone got anything to add?!

Thanx.

Yep - go for the free £1.50 daily capped useage. (never charged more than £1.50. £0 charge if you do not use)

Then if you think you'll be using it a lot maybe go for £1 all day browsing options.

depends on your useage and when/how much you use it.

£1.50 daily cap & £1 all day browsing have a max of 25mb/day i think.

havn't had a change to look at the doc. just offering info on other services i've heard of for now ;)

EDIT: it does look like it should be 250mb...

After 28 mins on the phone and being transferred 3 times and then cut off last night-and then 20 mins on the phone this morning I got to talk to a supervisor,I pointed everything out like you suggest and what the lady basically said was that it was for business users on "Panther" only and that its up to Orange what they offer to whoever. She refused to acknowledge there was any confusion in what was printed, and after a while went into a harangue of "is there anything else you need to deal with today","she was not willing to argue with me" and "I will give our address so you can feedback your suggestion if you feel it could be described better".

I mentioned contacting MSE and OFCOM and she said I could contact whoever I like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I daresay the Orange marketing team will be set the task of altering the PDF!!!!!!!!

STOP PRESS-Just tried again, spoke to a different manager, who took on board what I was saying. Asked him to call me back and just got a text saying my request for 250MB browsing for uk£8 a month will come into service on 25-06-2008!

    WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i've heard it was a misprice in the online user guide.

    there's a 250mb bolt-on for panther customers.
    a 250mb £7.50 retentions bundle
    and a 30mb £8 browsing bundle.

have been advised this will be changed shortly.. but that new data bundles are likely to be out sometime soon.

@ an_ecunemical_matter - i'd call back up and ask someone to tell you the product which is currently on your account (that way you can confirm it's been put on... oh and keep that SMS!!)

    well done for harrassing orange,

i was on panther 45 but got a few discounts so it was £30.50, I was getting 900 min and unlimited texts, I asked to change to internet bundle, thought it was 30mb, I ended up getting the new plan (1200 mins, 500 texts, 250mb internet)

Think with some people they are doing it, but others are being downright rude and going out of their way not to do it even though they can

If you think £8 for 250mb is fantastic value, what would you call 3's 1gb for £5 or T-Mobile's 1gb of £7.50?
