At that price i reckon they are limiting supply to try and stimulate demand by a perceived shortage policy, a mobile shop manager i spoke to reckons he has sold 15 and had 10 back faulty.
I still want one though !WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..

i believe it will wolves, i believe it will. just as the nokia 1100 will
each to their own of course but it's slightly ironic to me that such a phone is even mentioned on this site - seems like it's the antithesis of MSE

I was under the impression you were getting a ridiculously priced Vertu Ascent. Did you change your mind?

So should we all be driving around in 20 year old Ladas and shopping at Lidl ?
My philosophy is scrimp and save on every day things so i can afford to splash out now and again using this site of course to to find the item at the best possible price

Next time, please direct outbursts such as “I want a £600 mobile phone” to the forums of https://www.expensivelifestyles.com

@wolves: 20 year old lada's and lidl?
nah, i reckon a twenty year old lada will probably cost a bit to keep on the road (maybe get off road tax by claiming it's a classic though...:)) and as for lidl well i'd guess that if you kept a close eye on the right forum in here then you could probably get a lot more in terms of quality for a little more in terms of cash ;P
as i said - each to their own, absolutely. but it does make me smile, it's such an expensive phone regardless of features and then you find out it's got a somewhat minimal set of those too
of course, if you can get one for free with a retention deal then it's all good

The term "Fashion Victim" springs to mind with buyers of this mobile!
If you want a mobile to be just a mobile, then there are far better and cheaper ones to be found, you can even get Stainless steel covers for existing nokia's if thats your thing!
So save your money, by getting Value for money, thats what we are here for ain't it..........anyways in 3/4 months they'll be give'n 'em away!0 -
Following on from the closed 8800 Thread - I did buy the Vertu Ascent Motorsport Edition - I am in the midst of writing a review for all to see but basically for anyone who has not bought one - don't bother.
When I first turned the thing on I was disspointed, while buying the item in the store, they were processing my payment, I asked if I could have a shot of the the Pink Vertu to see the pink lights, he made a bunch of excuses and claimed there was no battery in the thing - He had a shelve full of chargers - he didn't want me to see the display and the software in store - why one might ask? Cause its CRAP. The menu consists of roughly 11 icons of your most typical and basic functions - the phone is basically an old school Nokia with a cheap color screen (Vertu being a branch of Nokia and all) - the screen on my 160 quid PSP looks better than this by MILES.
The full write up will be on a phone review site soon after it's been read over by the editor but I just wanted to warn anyone from potentially spending 3250 on it - NOT TO!0
