  • Is this their pricing for standard BB or just for those within the areas where they have their own hardware in the BT exchange? Think it's called LLU, (local loop unbundling). That was the case when they introduced the £9.99 charge a couple of months back. I keep hoping they will make the offer available to all customers.

LLU is certainly a good thing for the popular exchanges - good competition at last, driving forward the technology, and the prices down.

I wouldn't be very happy if I lived in the area of a quiet exchange where no LLU is happening.

its all very well if u can get it,i signed up and my service was due to go live on 7-9-05-all i have had is an e-mail saying they cannot connect me because of "product incompatibility" they wont/cant tell me what it is or remove it,they just fob me off to bt who cant/wont do anything-however they were very efficent at taking payment for the first month,i have rang several times and at one point was on hold for 32mins,still no joy,i have now written to them on advice from trading standards(recorded) and they havent even replied to that.so as far as im concerned-stay well clear! they suck! i now have to go back to trading standards to get my money back.so if you want an internet provider who will take your money, leave you with no internet and not speak to you then look no further.

I signed up about 2 weeks ago when the deal was £9.99 for 512KB.

Any idea if they'd upgrade me to 1MB for free or whether I can cancel then reapply??
  • Do you know if there is a minimum length of contract, or is any sign up fee applied?

I have a freeserve address, if i cancelled my fs account, would i still be able to access fsmail using this?

    Is there any download limit?

finally - i gather that some wont let you see all BB info on the net (probs with BBC's website or something) does this one let you?

sign in to your account, select upgrades select 1mb confirm, then ten minutes later your connection should be lost :( but then it'll reconnect and you should have 1mb :)
