Nationwide Mini cash ISA transfer, how long does it take?

Does anyone know how long it takes, on average, for Nationwide Building Society to complete the opening of a Mini cash ISA transfer request to it from Kent Reliance Building Society?
Events necessitating this question started when I completed a mini cash Isa transfer request application for the two year 6.15% fixed rate bond on the 31st of March '08 from KRBS. So far, I've received a letter dated the 29th April from KRBS to the effect that the transfer request had been completed, with all outstanding balance plus interest on the closed KRBS Direct ISA account sent to Nationwide.
I have been waiting, waiting, and waiting to hear from Nationwide these many weeks, more so, as an existing customer, nothing so far.
Is my experience unique to me, or is it the general pattern of things with Nationwide with regards to their Fixed rate bond mini cash Isa transfer requests?
I loathe to think I'll lose interest from their not too efficient ways.

The letter resulted in a call from NW's ISA department and one of the previous providers has, at last, forwarded funds but still nothing showing in NW's internet banking.0 -
Youre not unique.... I'm waiting too.
Went in today to complain. The issue for me is I'm waiting for them to cash cheques for this years ISA money too but now need to close the account the cheques were written from. Frustrating.
The only plus is you wont be losing out on interest. Nationwide make up the interest to the date your old ISA closed.
Blinkin annoying all the same.0 -
she wrote a letter of complaint to Nationwide last week.
I shall be doing this first thing on Monday.

My mum has been waiting almost 5 weeks now too. She is transferring her Nationwide (ex-Portman) ISA to the Nationwide fixed rate and hasn't heard anything.
She has been into the branch last week and they said it could take another 4-5 weeks!0 -

Very reassuring indeed.
Nationwide are simply not up to the job when it comes to dealing with Mini cash Isa transfers. I suppose the best thing to do is complain, then wait and hope for the best.
Thanks.

Doesn't really matter as you can't withdraw and they backdate interest anyway. As long as they manage it before the fixed rate period is up. I'm waiting too, they must be snowed under as they are one of few paying a decent rate and accepting transfers in.This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

What matters is that Nationwide dont send out anything confirming that they have received the transfer cheque so people get stressed not knowing if its arrived ok.
Nationwide send out pre printed slips with an account opening promise timescale that they never meet yet dont have apparent ability to create pre printed slips that can be sent out confirming that transfer cheque is in its safe keeping.0 -

Exactly, my very reason for asking. The sheer suspense of not knowing as well as the deafening silence from NW.Money is like a bird.....if mishandled, will simply fly away....0
