Today in the post i had replacement tesco clubcards for all our cards including key fobs & it says the old ones can be recyled at tescos for a raffle for 1,000 points now my suspicious mind says why do they want the old cards back? Is it anything to do with the fact that clubcard points can only be redeemed by the cardholder from now on?
I'm keeping my old cards incase they are better in some way than the new ones. Any ideas?

Are you guys getting cards with the same number as before, or a new number? We have only had an online "virtual" number and never a real card. I wrote asking if we could get a card with those numbers, and was told we'd have to get a new card and transfer, which I didn't want to bother doing. So we got a new card anyway (same as everyone else, it appears), and of course, the numbers are not the ones we have on our online account. We're wondering that, if we should ever use the card in store (not likely to happen more than once or twice a year), will it go in with our existing account? Will it close our existing account because we are using the new card?0 -
Clubcard has just been relaunched and all customers are being sent new cards and fobs. I have a some info on it at work, I'll see if I can find it when I'm in later.0

The number on my new card is different from the old number. I'm wondering if it's a 'numbers' thing, in that maybe the new numbers mean that more cards can be issued ... either that or it's an advertising thing? I used the new card yesterday with no problems though.0

Its all to do with the change in the clubcard conditions. The lady told me yesterday instore. If dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A0

When I tried to change to my new card on 'My account', it says 'this card is registered to someone else' type wording thingy????
I only have 2 cards on the same account, but have 2 more different emails in my name and address, all of which are in my old cards.
Maybe its so we can't link the new cards to more than 2 accounts??

Not very moneysaving is it, considering the next lot of deals are out in a couple of weeks, all those envelopes and the postage tut tut tut, they think they are doing there bit telling us all the recycle the fobs - maybe should take a leaf out of their own books.0

[FONT=Tahoma, sans-serif]As promised, this is the edit version of what appeared in our weekly update. I've only removed the parts specific to staff. Nothing about the numbers changing, I'm afraid. I assume that they will be linked to your existing card.

My clubcard is part of my credit card. Wonder if that will be re-issued.0
