New Halifax Direct ISA rate

Have just looked on the website re this ISA, no t&cs, phoned them and was told you will not receive t&cs until after you open account!!! This seems to be totally wrong,they said they cannot send info , but after much pushing they have agreed to send out a "generic pack" whatever that means.

They also said that they do not pay interest on ISAs until the cheque has cleared (7 working days), this is different from other banks/building societies I have spoken to who have said interest is from day of receipt of cheque therefore the only lost interest is however long the post takes, but with the Halifax this could be 10 days or more depending on the post, although they do say that going the other way,transfer out of Halifax, they pay interest until the money leaves the account, not sure how to interperate this as most places stop paying interest the moment they write the cheque.
