What's it about?
If you're trying to declutter and make some extra dosh at the same time this will come in very handy. Sell your stuff on Playtrade in July and ten sales will be commission-free. The cost is normally 10% of the sale price plus a 50p closing fee but for these ten sales you'll get it all back.
How do I sell for free?
Just sell as you normally would. Your seller fees will be refunded for the first 10 sales you make in July provided you've sent the goods off within two days.
The refund should arrive in your Playtrade account within 14 days of you confirming you've sent the goods.
What can I do with the money?
You can either use the cash to spend on the Play website or, for a 5% transfer fee, withdraw it.
Many thanks to MoneySaver gmc who originally posted about this offer when it was on in April. This post has been inserted to provide a detailed explanation.

Great opportunity to have a mini clearout, I sell some stuff on amazon so am going to try out one or two things on play and see what happens.
Does anyone have an idea of what sells best as we only have 2 weeks left!

There's never been a better time to try out PlayTrade, the new entertainment marketplace from Play.com. Throughout April you can sell up to 10 items on PlayTrade without paying any commission.
Give the house a Spring Clean, and find a home for all of those DVDs, Games, CDs and Books gathering dust on the shelves!
How it works:- Your first 10 sales during April will have their seller fees refunded.
- If you already have products for sale through PlayTrade, you don't need to re-list them. Both new and old listings are covered by the promotion.
- To qualify for the refund of fees, any orders should be dispatched to the customer within 2 days.
- The 10% commission fee and the 50p closing fee will be refunded once you confirm dispatch. The refund may take up to 24 hours to appear in your PlayFunds account.
- You will be credited with 100% of the sale value in your PlayFunds account.
- If you wish to withdraw your funds instead of spending them on site, this will be subject to a 5% transfer fee.
- If you are lucky enough to sell more than 10 items, our normal fees will apply from the 11th onwards. Please see our fees page for more details.

thanks for this, sales are slow on amazon at the moment and i have been thinking of trying playtrade for a while, this may give me the motivation to do it.0

I may get lynched for saying this but when i decided to have major clearout to raise money I listed all my items on both play and amazon simultaneously. I was selling approx 150 items and never once did I have a crossed/duplicated sale (thankfully). I sold fractionally more on Amazon than on Play.
Think I may be able to find a few more DVDS to sell so may take advantage of this offer.
Thanks
