Hi,
my problem is that every other day I have to "bleed" all my rads, most air/hydrogen comes from my bathroom rad a good 30-45 second release of air! other rads about a 3-5 seconds. when i do this the pressure falls from 1.5 bar to 0 bar,I refill the system (slowly) to 1.5 bar pressure but again 1-2 days later most rads are luke warm, bleeding and refilling the system sorts the problem but as above not for long!
whilst bleeding the system the water is black-is this nomal?
also,i have water and heating temp set to max-and rads set to 2-3 on thermostat is this effective or should rads be set to 5,and system temp turned down??
thans for any help given:D

Good morning: You have a dirty system...more info here http://www.fernox.com/?cccpage=break_down_guide&sub=2 OH sets our TRVs to 3, boiler stats toward maximum. NB Rad surfaces will become very hot and possible hazard to young children etc.

Good afternoon: You could do a DIY flush either manually or with a powerflushing machine or get a plumber/heating engineer in to do it for you and rebalance your system/give your boiler a service...depends on how confident you feel about your abilities http://www.hss.com/g/51610/Central-Heating-Flusher.html Cost for getting a CORGI in to do the jobs will vary according to the size/type of your CH system and where you live. As an example, my OH does powerflushes/rebalances CH systems/service here in Kent for £300+ ( eg. typical 7 rad system with combi boiler).
