ok i started my mission on monday and i have had a 90% success rate

i emailed mcains , findus sunblest, and birdseye (i have yet to recieve a reply or voucher in the post from birdseye

i emailed them asking them if they had any money off vouchers for any of there products for me and my family to try

i got

£2 from mcains
£2 from findus
£1 from sunblest

thats £5 from only 4 emails to companys that took me a few mins of my time

now as you may or may not be aware tesco and asda take vouchers for products even if you havnt bought them as long as they sell them

so this week i saved £5 on my shoping from the vouchers i put the £5 that i saved in a jar ( they allow up to a max of 10% of your total shoping bill)

now here is the task

email any companys you can think of and once you recieve a voucher by post

post the company in this thread

I think it depends, I've contacted companies that sell products that I use and like. The only difference is I never thought to contact them and compliment them on their products before or ask for some coupons in the process. My comments have been real and so will hopefully be useful for them. :p

Go through your till receipt and see what brands you have actually used and then try contacting them using information from the packaging. ;)

Also have a look at the Old Style board which has some tips about ways to keep your shopping bill down in the first place by budgeting, meal planning and handy recipe ideas.

Problem is most of these companies are all owned by Proctor and Gamble, if you check out the emails (and replys) they are whatever@pg.com thats why your not getting a reply to all of them.

Open your store cupboard and have a look at all the jars and tins, most companies have a website on the label,do this upstairs in the bathroom cabinet as well and also in the toiletries cupboard.
Think of something nice to compliment the company and off you go,dont forget to put your address on the email so they know where to send the vouchers.

You can always say something like I am using blah blah brand at the moment and would like to try yours, could you possibly send me some vouchers to try your brand as I am on a tight budget.
