Client not arrived and I feel a bit irritated! I had her written down for 10am. So done a few jobs, will now settle at pooter to sort meal plan for next week. I expect she'll arrive in a minute!

Good think there is lots from the freezer, I don't have much ££ in my food purse. Theoretically I can get some out of the other purse, but in practise this means that the Credit card will go on longer.... Want it paying off before we go off the 0% interest. The whole idea is to stick to the challenge and get debt free ASAP. Soooooo.....

Thurs: Chilli con carne if I can find it (Freezer… getting a bit chocka)

Fri: for us, supper at quiz. eggy bread for kids

Sat: Kids at ceilidh, fish (F) for us I think, veg.

Sun: Roast lamb (F), veg, potatoes. Not sure what is happening this day, so might get changed.

Mon: Jacket potatoes, toppings of choice tuna or beans and coleslaw

Tues: Bol, vegi or meat (F)

    Wed: Soup (F) and Pudding

Thurs: DH out, so we can have Pasta and Tom Sauce (F), DD's fave

Friday: Burger (F), pork or vegi, plus trimmings. Need to experiment with bread rolls again.

    Saturday: Quiche (F)

    ****************************************************************

Fri: Tortilla Beany Bake (Veg soc website) New recipe, was really good.

Sat: Lamb shanks, potato/swede/carrot mash. Enough left in the way of gravy and beans to be another meal… will add chorizo or something.

Sun: Bacon, egg and beans or Tuna pasta bake with corn.... maybe? The ONLY day that I haven’t stuck to it! Had Spanish Omelette with ham and veg in it. First time ever that I have made this. Can you believe that?

Mon: HM Pizza ( I had something else, but can’t remember what!) First hm tomato sauce to go on a pizza. Had made decision not to buy pasta sauce any more. The 4th pizza has been the basis for ds’s packed lunch, he was very pleased. Thanks to Pandora for the helpful hints. Par-baking the bases worked really well.

    Tues: Lentil Vegi lasagne (Freezer)

Wed: Veg Curry and spicy rice... maybe...might have a go at onion bhajis. Didn’t, but tried HM naan instead. Made Apple braid also, a first!

Coming to the end of the month but luckily quite a few things left in the freezer.

Friday - Spag bol (hidden veg) with HM Garlic bread/dough balls
Saturday - HM Pizza (will cook chicken breast off for topping with sweetcorn and onion) Salad
Sunday - Roast Chicken, Stuffing, Yorkshires, Roasties & Veggies
Monday - Fish fingers, HM Oven chips, Peas & Sweetcorn
Tuesday - Pork Steak, Roasties & Veggies (probably yorkies too)
Wednesday - HM BBQ Chicken drumsticks, HM E F Rice and Stirfry veggies
Thursday - Meatballs, peppercorn sauce with spaghettie or HM Oven chips

All the meat/main ingredients in just need to buy fruit, veggies and milk.

Also need to do some baking so will russle up a coffee cake, some biccies and if DH is good some millionaires shortbread for the weekend.

Breakfasts usual cereal or toast or porridge
Lunches - pack up variety. Soup, sandwiches or HM french stick and pate.

I've felt so disorganised this week and thinking i've completely failed at the grocery challenge but to my surprise i'm doing ok :D Have had to shuffle a couple of meals around but we've stuck to the plan pretty much (apart from me having to buy yet more salad - i swear, i'm addicted, this is gonna be one healthy bubba!)

Fri - Chicken curry and rice
Sat - Hopefully something from the RTC counter - pizza maybe?
Sun - Gammon steaks, cauli & broccoli cheese, baby taties

Weekday meals - allocated when i know OH's hours:-

    * Shepherds Pie, carrots and green beans
    * Chicken and tomato pasta, garlic ciabatta
    * Baked potatoes with whatever fillings i've got
    * Spaghetti and meatballs
    * Freezer food night (pot luck if i've forgotten to label things :rotfl: )

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I know i must remember but ive got the memory of a goldfish at the moment, i've put orange juice on my cereal twice this week :o

Seeing as i generally freeze either mince dishes, currys or casserole they can all go with rice/spuds/pasta. God knows what'll happen when i get a bigger freezer and can freeze puddings etc. And god help the poor baby when i batch cook his/her food! :rotfl:

Here is mine. Had the lentil soup last night it was awful. Just off to try another butcher for sausages for tonights tea.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.
  • My week runs from Wed to Tues so this weeks plan is/was:

    Wed 20 Feb
Cheese Burgers, HM Wedges & Salad (this is the first time I made potato wedges and they were very yummy! next time I'll make my own burgers as well)
    Thu 21 Feb
Turkey Meatballs & Pasta (first attempt at making meatballs so not sure how they'll turn out yet! might turn into turkey bolognaise instead if they go wrong!) Edit: The meatballs turned out really well and I made enough for a second batch in the freezer too.
    Fri 22 Feb
    Jacket Potato, Cheese & Beans
    Sat 23 Feb
Chilli Con Carne (Make batch for freezer)
    Sun 24 Feb
Beef Casserole (From Freezer), Mash & Veg
    Mon 25 Feb
    Tuna Macaroni Bake
    Tue 26 Feb
Tomato Chicken & Red Pepper Cous Cous (Not used cous cous before so I dunno how this will turn out either!)
