Porting your Favourite Number.(WARNING).

Members may not be aware but the Ofcom rules regarding Pac codes only require the mobile operator to issue them to departing customers.There are no requirements for the new provider to accept them.
Some of the latest deals offered by networks have a specific clause that exclude number porting.
I would suggest therefore that before taking out a new contract that you carefully check the t&c, and with the new provider, if you want to take your favourite number with you, for business,or personal reasons.
It leads me to wonder how many people would not take advantage of some of these ultra cheap deals,if they couldnt move there number elsewhere after the honeymoon period is over.
