Thanks for that, worked a treat, and adds up perfectly by simply changing the support service to 90 days.0 -

Apparantly for an extra £12 you can upgrade the processor to a P4 2.8GHz."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

OR, ensure when you type the evalue code you type "d" in first box and "d07302a" in the second box.0 -

That's correct. The 2.8 is better than the Celeron processor (more cache)0 -
Unit only comes with 256MB. XP runs a bit sluggish on that. The memory upgrade is not worth it. You can pick up another 256MB from any decent website/computer shop for about £250

You're spot on there.
Perhaps I could suggest Crucial, high quality memory and excellent service
512mb here http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/listparts.asp?Mfr%2BProductline=Dell%2BDimension&mfr=Dell&tabid=CR&model=Dimension+3000&submit=Go for £38.76 inc VAT.
or £29.96 for 256mb DIMM - http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/MPartspecs.Asp?mtbpoid=949308FDA5CA7304&WSMD=Dimension+3000&WSPN=CT405741
Hope that helps!0 -

This runs best with paired RAM, so either just buy the 256MB to make 512 MB in total, or replace the existing stick to go up to (I think) 2 gig maximum.
There are only 2 moemory slots. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
