Talktalk IPs blocked?

I was trying to view www.xara.com and it just times out with a "cannot be displayed...". I've tried on different computers and same thing. Tried reconnecting to talktalk to get different IP addresses and same thing. If I go through a proxy then I can view it fine (although POST functions aren't usually available with free proxies). So anyone else with Talktalk having problems and any suggestions? I doubt Talktalk will respond for a long time if I ask them about it.

Could it be a DNS issue? try 209.128.65.117:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Same thing. I'd also already tried pinging that IP from the router but no response (100% packet loss)."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Where is "Online Community Executive, TalkTalk" when you need them?

I would only notice it on a Saturday wouldn't I? Typical and now it's frustrating the hell out of me. Why only that one site????
I've tried flushing the DNS although other pcs on network can't access site either so I've run out of ideas really without relying on Talktalk "support"."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Yes very strange and I certainly can't think why it would be blocked. I did find this post by TalkTalkBoy very interesting here.
Didn't know about that 5GB limit thing. I've downloaded a quite a bit but I don't use any p2p (nor does anyone else in the house) and certainly nowhere near the 40 GB limit. So I shouldn't have too much to worry about (I hope)."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Yes the figure was only posted after the guy in that thread wanted to know why they were having problems. I would guess that many users won't know about their unpublicised capping procedures. Hope you get it sorted or find a suitable work around. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Well there are always ways and means (;)), but I'm kind of worried about the underlying cause and will I come across other sites I find I can't access? I don't know how long this one has been like this because I don't think I've visited Xara's site since before I was using Talktalk. Hopefully I'll find it's sorted itself out but it has to be some kind of routing problem at TT's end at the very least if not being blocked by Xara's end. So probably nothing I can do about it personally. I'll drop TT an email or something on Mon. if it's still like this. At least you've helped me make sure that I haven't missed something obvious."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Site won't load for me either on talk talk. Also I've done 15+ GB so far this month with no problems.0

Must be a talktalk blocking/routing problem then. I'm not sure how much we've downloaded this month but it wouldn't surprise me if it even came under the 5GB limit. It can't be capping as I don't think they'd block specific sites."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
