Content insurance for a room only

I have tried to organise a content insurance for my room (I live in a house share where the landlord has supplied all furniture) so I only need to insure the items in my room. Most home insurance companies I have rang does not offer this kind of insurance. Does anyone know of any companies who sell this type of insurance?

Thanks.

I think Rich has identifeid one of the few policies out there. There isnt a lot of choice and a lot of these types of policy are geared for student accommodation (I assume you are not a student).

They are presumably very difficult for insurers, so be extra vigilant and read the policy in minute detail to make sure its valid in your circumstances.

  • Directline and Norwich Union insure this as standard! But whether your parents would want to claim on their policy is questionable! Although it means less for you to pay :D
Other than that cover4students and endsleigh offer specific cover for students living in shared accom. or halls of residence
    Hope it helps.
