  • I bought this in Argos a few weeks ago at £49. Great wee printer, good photo prints and photocopies. Imho a decent printer for the price and at £25 a definate steal.

They're out of stock for home delivery, but I've managed to reserve one to collect tomorrow at my local store. Thank you very much OP, I needed a new printer as my old one has a Dorito stuck in it (don't ask!). The cartridges are about £12-15 each for compats and canons (compats only being marginally cheaper) but I didn't research that too thoroughly so they may be cheaper than that elsewhere!

  • Is the black ink cartridge included in this?

I was only onto my first batch of replacement cartridge after using up the ones that came with the printer
From one of the reviews on Amazon, so I guess so. I've never had a printer come without some cartridges yet and we've been through a few (see previous comment about a Dorito!).

Further reading of the reviews suggests there may be compatibility problems with Vista, but Canon state that this model IS compatible with Vista (I use XP, but it may be worth researching this issue if you do use Vista)

you get a black and coloured cartridge, I bought one last year

No problems with Vista...Bought this the other day, downloaded driver updates from Canon (following in-box instructions) and it all works just great.

Cracking printer for £25...I'm very happy with it

The gentleman concerned on Amazon did suppose it might be a 'user interface' problem rather than a real issue with the machine so it's nice to know that's the case :)

A good price I bought a similar canon one last year for this sort of price from Argos. Even refill inks came to £20 for it. So it is probably cheeper to buy two printers and throw one away than replace the ink! Not good for the environment at all!
  • Great deal! Got mine reserved. I currently I have a Cannon MP170 which is the same as this except there is no colour screen. I need to get new cartridges but that costs £33 total for both so getting this with cartridges for £25 is cheaper ;)

(It DOES come with cartridges right?)
