What About Pets ?

We seem to be talking about everything and nothing on this site. What about talking about something which I feel plays a really important role in most of our lives. That is Pets. Whether it is dogs, cats, guinea pigs, mice, ponies, gerbils, or whatever.........would it not be a good idea to be able to discuss their needs ?

For many of us pets play a very important part in daily life. For me coming home to a house without a cat would be unthinkable and feel very strange. The benefits of owning a pet very much out wiegh any problems/ worries they cause. :j

Totally agree with both the above posts - many, many households in the UK have at least one pet. And pets can cost a fortune, between obtaining the animal, insurance, vaccinations, vet bills, feeding, bedding, unwanted behaviour correction...and so on and so forth. There isn't a clear place to post about these members of our families but I think that with all the expenses there is a lot of information members could swap in order to help others save money.
Please can we have a forum
    especially about animals and Pets
    Please

This has been mentioned before by other members, and I believe it's a really good idea, hopefully one of the team will have a look at the possibilties and whether there could be any problems with it. :)

Pink-winged flying stick insects are pretty strange, but they are beautiful and I love them.

We had stick insects once, 30 odd years ago, came in a box full of straw, took hours to find them:o

Bit silly. Not everyone is an animal lover, doesn't make them a bad person. My brother hates pets, the family think it's down to being bitten as a child but he says he can't remember it.

We own a very friendly lab, but we also respect his opinion and we make sure the dog is in another room if he visits.

I love pets, and have a cat.

I read this report a few days back, its interesting reading. It appears the busy lives most of us have, we now want pets that are less time consuming.

Before I go any further there is one point I must make very clear: I love cats. I have the cutest one in the whole wide world and I love her to bits. Now for the funny part. Yersteday there was this article in the Times https://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,8122-826557_1,00.html
The worst part is I have had cats since I was a child and nothing like this has happened to me yet
