Is it possible to get cheap flights to Dubai/Goa?

Options
I'm looking to travel anytime after 17 June to either Dubai/Goa or one of the Caribbean Islands for 7 days. I would like to purchase either flights only or a package deal and I set myself a budget of up to £300, am I over ambitious here or does anyone know where I can get such a deal?

Cheers,
G

You cannot now buy charter flight only to goa only packages but they stop around April[due to weather].Flights to Dubai for June are really cheap just now as are packages but not 7 nights I don't think only up to 5 nights for the packages I have seen. The caribbean i don't know.Try https://www.airline-network.co.uk

www.swiss.com Just booked the other day to go Dubai and paid £220 each on flights with Swiss Air, think they're one of the cheapest to Dubai, but you could try Jettihad too or Qattar.
2p off is still 2p off!
  • Cheers fatboyonadiet, I got a price for £273 so Im going to try different dates and try and get it down to £220 like you did. How much does the average decent 3* hotel cost for 2 people per night?

Would I be better of trying to get a package deal?

https://www.airline-network.co.uk wasn't very good, but thanks anyway anneg.

  • Update...

As previously mentioned I'm looking for a good deal on flights/package holiday to Dubai from Manchester. Dates around 17 June for 5 nights would be ideal, but I could be flexable.

The Swiss flights I found did not include taxes, so the best deal I've got so far has been on flights via Air France for £284 per person inc taxes. I'm estimating that hotels would cost approx £40 a night for an average 3*.

So cost per person would be around £384. So would a package deal be cheaper?

The Air France deal was found at lastminute.com, quite a number of other websites also offered the same flights but the prices varied. Does anyone know of any decent websites that offer lower prices for all the various airlines, something similar to lastminute.com would be great?

    Thanks,
    G

Maybe but depends I looked at www.expedia.co.uk www.lastminute.com and www.opodo.co.uk and found that I could get a package but it would be a city centre hotel doing it as seperates I booked the Oasis Beach Hotel (can be found at www.hotels.com) for the same price. Someone on the Dubai thread (khizman) goes to Dubai a lot and he never books a hotel  he just gets one when he gets there as it's the cheapest way, didn't have the guts to do that myself

if it helps I have been to Dubai a few times now & found the cheapest way to book a hotel was to approach one of the hotel reservation desks.
You will see them one the way out of the airport terminal, once you clear customs. These desks for currency, car hire hire, etc, are some of the cheapest around.

They have prices displayed for some hotels, but dont bother with them. Speak to the desk staff, you can haggle with them to get you a good deal & dont forget to include airport transfers. Most hotels can provide a free shuttle service & many include free breakfast.
It sometimes worth tipping :G 5/10 Dirhams to the staff thats about £1/2, to get you the best deal. Personally ive never paid more than £25 p.n. for a 4* or above.

Another tip is, dont go outside until you book otherwise Security wont allow you back into this part of the airport

    ...hope this helps.
    Good luck.
  • I’ve managed to book myself 5 nights in Dubai finally at a decent price of £290 per person Inc taxes, travelling from Manchester by Air France.

I’ve been searching on numerous websites trying to get a cheap price for the dates that I wanted and I have a few tips to share:

Lastminute.com are one of the cheapest sites for flights. Also if you visit https://www.flightcentre.co.uk and phone them, they will in most cases price beat your best price. They beat the deal I got at last minute.com by just £4.00, but I chose not to go with them, as I would have got £2.00 referral money via Rpoints and I would have to fax through 4 pages of the flights booking papers and term and conditions signed which would have cost me around £1.60 + petrol cost so it would have been easier for me in my case just to go with lastminute.com.

Goingplaces usually offer good deals on rail tickets to the airports, its costing me £14 per person return to travel from Leeds to Manchester Airport.

Hope the above is of help to someone.
Now can someone help me with the questions below:

Cheapest Travel insurance for a couple travelling to Dubai for 5 nights?

    Where to buy currency from?
Would I get a better rate purchasing currency from Dubai, if so where should I purchase this? E.g. at the airport when I arrive?

    Hotel advice required – location?
    Websites that offer good deals?
Would it be better for me to purchase my hotel when I arrive at the airport?
Problem is I arrive at 22:00, so would there be any risk there?

Finally, which websites can I visit to research Dubai and now where all the shops/sights etc are?

    Thanks in advance.
