Olu Deniz - which hotel?

Just wondering if anyone had been to either of these hotels and can give us some information to help us decide which one!

We're looking at going to either Olu Deniz Beach Resort or Club Sun City.

There's 5 of us - 2 adults and 3 children who will be aged 11, 9 and 1 at the time of travel.

Have you considered Lykia World on edge of resort aswell, very good especially with kids(and infants) facilities wise

I haven't been for a while as I was very poorly when I was pregnant, then breastfed exclusively until recently.

I've left the baby with my Mam twice now and she's been ok, so hopefully I'll get back to some matches soon.

I did bump into Niall Quinn last week and had my piccy took with him

I didn't like the look of Lykia World.

It's too far away from the resort centre, and it's full board rather than all inclusive.

It was also considerably more expensive than the other two for a family room for 5.

shame, it really is a good place, we weighed up the FB+ v All Inclusive and went in teh end but our bill fo rthe week was only about £80 for all teh other drinks we'd had outside of those that were included. We also found it big enough to be a resort in itseld, the one night we did go into the main resort we weren't overly impressed to be honest. But you've done your research so I can't really give much more, I think from memory when we were comparing that Olu Deniz resort was slightly higher on our list than Sun City, can't remember what was swaying us though

Just checked the prices for the 14 nights that we wish to travel with Cosmos (has to be Cosmos as I'm part paying in Tesco vouchers!). All prices based on a family sized room:

    Club Sun City = £2070
Olu Deniz Beach Resort = £1994
    Lykia World = £3242

I just cannot justify paying £1200 more for the holiday price. By the time you add on the cost of drinks, plus the cost of taxis to the resort centre and lagoon, it's going to make it a lot more expensive.

I've been to the Olu Deniz Resort Hotel twice & its great, BUT I pay extra for the slightly apart from the main resort sea-view rooms, these are really nice but up a VERY steep slope. There seems to be a mixture of rooms on the main site, many nice but some are like glorified chalets from the 50's Butlins. I would HATE to be put in one of those, they are near the main pool.

The Sun City is not nearly as good & NOT sea front.

Lycia does look fab, only been around its edges heard good reports.

There is one more you should consider The Belcekiz Beach, on with Portland. Sea front, & really nice.

Just read its gotta be Cosmos, go with the Olu Deniz resort. IF Cosmos offer you an economy room (I know Thomas Cook do as an option) DON'T select it.

It doesn't say about economy/sea view rooms in the Cosmos brochure/website. It just mentions standard rooms for 2/3, and family rooms with bunk beds.

I will ask for one of the better rooms though ;)

Just waiting for the Tesco vouchers to arrive, and then we'll be booking

AFAIK only Thomas Cook offer the option of an ecomomy room.

BUT I made friends there once with a couple who had one of those "chalet/shed" style rooms & they had booked with First Choice (the same as us), so they didn't pay an economy option & still ended up in the economy rooms!

Nearly all the rooms are nice, its just a few they have near the main pool on the Olive Grove side.

The sea-view rooms are only for the fit:rotfl:

    Just Found this

    http://www.oludenizmap.com/map.html

The Olu Deniz resort hotel is the bottom left pool in the pic.

The sun city is the big pool 2 pools behind it.

The Belcekiz Beach is next door to the Olu Deniz resort Hotel (along the sea front) towards the centre of the resort.

Lycia is past the Olu Deniz Resort Hotel on the mountain road which carries on out of the resort from the ODRH.
