Anyone looking at kids bikes should have a look at Decathlon - their range is pretty cheap and the bikes are all set up by mechanics before you leave the shop. They seem a bit more like proper bikes and there's less of the gender-specific stuff which I'm convinced is only there to increase sales by limiting hand-me-downs! My boy will inherit his sister's Decathlon bike, and we couldn't have done that if it was all Barbied-up!
