What's it about?
If you're planning a train journey to Scotland, Yorkshire or somewhere on the East coast then there's a way to slash an extra 10% off the price.
How do I do that?
First, read the Cheap Train Tickets article to find the cheapest fare, by checking thetrainline.com and National Rail's website to find a bargain ticket. If the best price advance ticket you've found is by travelling with GNER then head over to the GNER website and book directly there, rather than through the booking website. There you'll get an extra 10% off GNER's lowest priced advance fare.
Where does GNER stop?
To find if your destination is on the GNER network check out the GNER Network Map.

For railcard holders:
Something to bear in mind here is that the cheapest GNER fares (the ones that get discounted by 10%) do not give railcard discounts. However, Virgin Value Advance do give railcard discount (even in 1st class).
As you can view prices for (and book) all tickets through GNER, its worth doing your search on their website (it seems to use the same engine as thetrainline.com) to check your getting the cheapest ticket..0
