70s retro hamper help!

Hi everyone, I was hoping for some help/ideas from you lovely people who know what they are doing with hampers (hoping flattery will get me somewhere! :p )

I'm doing a retro 70s hamper for my dad for Christmas, so far with a fantastic compilation cd that I found on sale. I was thinking about putting in some of the sweets he used to love as a kid too.

After that ... I'm stuck!

Any ideas gratefully received!!!!
Thanks

There is a funky website called aquarterof.com that sells retro sweeties and also if you are a pigsback member you can points back!

Thanks guys, great ideas. Tine, I will definitely check out that thread.

Becca, I love the mini-lava lamp idea. Aquarterof is one of may favourite websites (as my waistline will demonstrate!!!), didn't know it was on pigsback, I've only ever used it through quidco.

Niptuck, thanks, I'm off to IMDB to investigate!

LJM, I love that idea. Not sure what date I would pick for the newspaper as he wasn't born in the 70s, just has that fuzzy nostalgia feeling about it!!!

I saw the Saturday Night Fever DVD had come out, may have to watch it for ideas!

What about a compilation DVD of 70's tv shows? Poundland have those on sale just now (for 70's, 80's and 90's)
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

Thanks Unxigirl. That also reminds me that Matalan have Airwolf and the A Team DVDs at £2.50 at the moment. Great idea, much appreciated!
