Mobile phone thats good for the internet?
Hi, a mate of mines been bugging me to find her a mobile which she can use to surf the net easily, mainly for msn and myspace. I recommended her to get an internet tablet like the N770, but seeing as it could only be used to wifi and couldn't be used as a phone it was quite problematic.
Preferably PAYG, she was thinking about the iPhone but i told her it was a complete waste, any ideas anyone? otherwise Apple may win once again..

N95 is pretty good. But she should really go for the N770, especially with myspace as it loads lots of images so need a decent spec.
On the Iphone I can't comment - but it is cr4p!0 -
yeah i told her she should go for the N770 as well, but she wants to be able to go online even when shes on the bus and stuff.0

The N95 it is then, it's small (compared to others with similar capabilities) and wireless access is good. That would probably the best one.0

How does she intend on paying to go online? does she have a data package included with her tariff? What you can do with the Nokia 770 is use your mobile as a data modem via bluetooth... this would enable the use of internet browsing.
I actually use my N73 with Opera mini browser (beta), passes the time when traveling on the bus or on slow trains. I am on 3 and have the x series add on so I have data usage included and with three you get free msn, the new windows live messenger is very easy and intuitive to use.SLC: £13000+
Quidco: £131.24 (paid) + £0 (validated) = £131.24
Valued Opinions: £75 (paid) + £52.30 (received) + £4.50 (pending) = £131.80
StudentPanel: £250 -
She intends to use the network Virgin, 30p a day internet access.0

It would be better to use Opera Full with N73 because it is a S60v3 smartphone. This is much better than Opera mini.
I use opera all the time on X-Series and it is quite quick and load almost ALL pages without any compatibility issues.0 -
I have a Nokia E61 and it is great for the internet, I would highly recomend it.
My next phone is prob either going to be this one with cheaper contract or replaced by a simfree E61i. (basically the same phone but with a camera)

I have looked at Virgin Mobile website and it is only Virgin Bites that are capped at 30p per day, for viewing other sites and general internet browsing is charged at 0.5p per kb which would work out to be a lot more expensive than 30p per day.0 -

I use mine for quite a bit of web action (email, ebay, podcasts, mp3's etc.)
and I use tmobile as theirs is £7-50p for unlimited browsing, though there are some restrictions on content.
where as I believe '3' has no restrictions for £5.
if thats any help.
