Virgin Media have a new offer , phone line with free weekend calls and 2mb BB with unlimited downloads for £15.50 a month .
This appears to be a longterm deal ie. the price doesnt jump up after a year .

There is a huge 6p connection fee for each chargeable call (weekends are free) on top of the call charge rate.0

Dont use the phone then (if you're just interested in the BB , the £10 offer they have goes up to full price after one year - £18 , this offer appears to be permanent), or upgrade to the L phone package for another £3.95 to get free evening calls Mon-Fri .0

As their is on BT or Talk Talk for chargeable calls now.:D
If you need ideas for cutting your cable phone bill have a read of this site.http://wakeup.to/cheapercablecalls0 -
Unfortunately subscribers to the Virgin bundle are not permitted to route their calls via a cheaper competitor.
The option of not using the phone, (at all) may be inconvienient for some.
Assuming that a few never use their phone, and as freeview and the analogue channels are 'free', the only service being provided in consumer terms is broadband.
So the ad should read: Broadband = £15.50 + exhorbitant phone call charges.0 -
are you sure that comes with TV as well?
Free TV with Phoneline M offer says that "Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer."0 -

They cant CPS their calls nor can they use an indirect short code like 1899/18866 but they can get cheaper calls by using suppliers that offer a Freephone Access Number or a auto dialer for cable users..
Eg: http://www.18185.co.uk/mobilerates.php via 0808 freephone number.
18185 1p a minute to 01/02 numbers peak& evenings. Where as VM users without a bundle would pay 3p a minute.
18185 charge a 5p connection charge on top of their quoted rates.(You dont pay if your not connected).
Plus you can qualify for a Virgin Sim only deal, pay a £10 monthly bundle and get 300 x-net minutes and 300 texts.

Also sign up via Quidco and get £55 http://www.quidco.com/mobiles-utilities/internet-providers/virgin-media/0 -

Good question . I thought the free TV was available to all phoneline customers , and with this offer you would be paying full whack for the phone line (£11) . Maybe someone else can confirm ?0 -

If this package includes the free TV - cable TV has the added benefits of On-Demand (music videos , movies , TV series etc.) and Catch-Up TV , plus there are sometimes extra channels that may be given free for a week or month ie. the FX channel was on the M package for a while . Plus some people (like myself) can get cable TV but not freeview .0 -
If Freeview is unavailable but the cable equivalent is, then this bundled service is definately worth getting.0

I spoke to Virgin Media a short while ago. They said it doesnt include medium TV. If you want this included it will cost £20 a month.0
