might be best to look at the sticky in the techie board as that has the best offers that gets updated all the time. not sure about other student discounts though - sorry!:happyhear0

Got a letter from UCAS yesterday which had an offer of an Acer Laptop (1GB Ram, 120GB HD, intel core 2 due processor with Vista Home premium) with a Printer, headset and a bag for £589. Seems like a great offer, apart from the Acer laptop.0

I would recommend an acer! They are cheap and reliable. All my family have gone for acer and no problems yet *touch wood*0

Dell are churning out Vostro Core2Duo systems for less than £460 at the moment - a cheap printer, bag, etc isn't hard to come by.
They've also some other systems (that would be just as good for basic tasks) for less than £400.0 -
ACER and Dell are big recommendations from me. Cheapest around, and do the job very well.0
