Real Ale Hamper

Can anyone help me - I need things to make up a real ale hamper - or gifts in a basket as my fiance likes to call it (he hates the word hamper since Christmas last year!) - I've already got him a pair of sleeping shorts which have a reference to beer on it. Anyone else have any other ideas?

I have spent all day (!) looking at the Christmas Hampers board and have decided that I would get these for everyone, but I will still have to buy an extra pressie for my family members so I dont want to spend too much on hampers for them (if you get what I mean). For my son in law I am going to buy a bottle or two of real ale every month, all different, probably from Tescos cos of the points, and make that the main theme of the hamper. Maybe I would add a cigar, a bottle opener, he likes chocolate raisins, and anything else I can think of (maybe some Nobby's nuts).
I haven't done hampers before but I think they are a fantastic idea, a lot of the pleasure will be in finding bargains/freebies to go in them! I can't wait to get started, I'm one of those people who realise Xmas is upon them a week before and it's always stressful and I end up buying stuff people probably don't like  ! I love Xmas!!:j :j0 -
I'm trying to find some not so common real ales for my fiance as he's been drinking it for a few years. I think that oddbins (instore not online) is pretty good for this. Also we are going to be going to London before his birthday so may try to get a bottle or two down there

Trouble is in my area there's really only Tesco and Sainsburys, I would love to get some really unusual ones! No Oddbins around here, but do ordinary off-licenses sell real ale? Nearest one is near church, I'll have a look after the next service, should look good if I stagger out with a coupla bottles of beer under my arm!

Aparently Sainsburys Taste the difference are brewed by the meantime brewery:

Also if you have a Morrisons near you they do a decent selection of beer - some that my fiance hasn't come across before!2019 Wins: Feb: £10 Aldi Voucher, Frankie & Benny's meal for 2; May: Game from Maynards. something to drink out of? either a freezer mug, or perhaps a recycled grosch goblet? or just pick up some cheap plain pint glasses?
a bottle opener so that he can open his beer. i've put on of these in OH's stocking before (make the most of the free £5 codes on the site to bring the cost down)
nuts or crisps, as these are typical bar snacks
and in the same vein, playing cards or dominoes as a traditional pub game perhaps? know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Tesco is doing cooler bags if you're quick... I picked one up for some friends who are bear fans and will put in a selection of beer and some cold packs and wrap up... the cooler bag was about a quid and the cooler packs about 14p or something silly...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Found this website in Olive magazine, has a nice selection of real ales from £26 for a mixed case, there is also a 10% off code in Olive mag (page 19) but not sure if allowed to post it here? http://www.livingbeer.com/beers-mixedcases.aspx"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
