Hi all
Not sure if this has been covered already! We only subscribe to the family package on Sky as the movie package is too dear, they have just launched a free movie channel though called "True" its on channel 333. Its films that are based on true stories, I know its not the upto date films we all want, but hey its free and if theres nothing else on, worth a try, before you rent a DVD!
Also I heard that within the next couple of weeks E4 is going to be available as a free channel!!!
Hope this is of use to someone x

It's not really a shop don't drop thing, maybe it's a freebie or tech post.
You can find a list of all the free to air channels that you can get on sky here. You can also get Matinee Movies at 336 and Bad Movies at 339. There is also the Horror Channel at 330. With E4 going free to air, I expect it will be popping up on freeview sooner rather than later.0 -

Hmm forgive me for not posting in the correct place, there are soo many places to put this I guess none of them would be correct! Technically it isn't a freebie, as you have to pay for Sky anyway!
Perhaps if one of the "mods" feel I have posted it in the wrong section they can move it!
I just thought it might be usefull to someone thats all.February Grocery Challenge £250.00

Great to hear that E4 is gonna be free now!! That was the only channel that was keeping me on my movie package (so I could still get my Sky+ free). Looks like I'm dropping most of my channels!!0

Sorry to rain on peoples parades, but I understand e4 is going free on Freeview (terrestrial digital) only. On cable and Satellite (Sky) it will remain in the basic channel packages (i.e subscription)!
ch4's site kind of backs that up but aren't reallly explicit about it at all

I doubt you'll regret downgrading! My dh is a TV Addict and broke out in a sweat at the mere thought of downgrading - but, we did it! I asked him only last week if he missed the movie channels .....
.... nope!!!
jackiebrown - :hello: welcome to MSE. I think raeble's intention was to be helpful, not offensive.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
