e2save.com question - Solved! No worries!

I'm brand new on here, so sorry if this has been discussed somewhere else on this or another board. I've not found any threads through searching.
After a whole day of exasperation and misery [only one day into a contract] with e2save.com, a little hunting around on the internet revealed that e2save along with a number of other Carphone Warehouse companies went into voluntary liquidation on 22nd June. CPW and e2save are saying nothing!
Companies House:

London Gazette:

I'm not a legal expert, so am not fully aware of the concequences for those in cashback deals with e2save. Perhaps the Carphone Warehouse are simply consolidating their companies and there'll be no problem? I've no idea, but am now doubly nervous that the deal I thought I had might go up in smoke.
Can anyone advise on the consequences? Should all potential buyers now beware and steer clear?
I'd be interested to hear opinions or knowledge of others.

Possibly it is not the same company. The following was taken from e2save's website. The company reg no is different to that on your links.
A trademark of The Carphone Warehouse Limited, e2save.com Terms & Conditions of business
Full terms and conditions of sale can be found by clicking here.

The Carphone Warehouse Limited is incorporated and registered in England and Wales. Registered Office: 1 Portal Way London W3 6RS.
Registered Number: 02142673 VAT Number:7440320680 -
That's what I thought was a possibility, and they certainly are trading as I took out a new contract with them only yesterday [fool me!], however looking closer the registered address with companies house is actually that of the liquidator, perhaps now in charge? It is also clearly a Carphone Warehouse' company.
Quote from gazettes-online.co.uk article:
'At Extraordinary General Meetings of the above-named Companies, duly convened, and held at the offices of The Carphone Warehouse Group plc., 1 Portal Way, London W3 6RS, on 7 June 2007, the subjoined Resolutions were duly passed, as a Special Resolution and as an Ordinary Resolution respectively:
“That the Company be wound up voluntarily, and that RichardIanWilliamson, of Campbell Crossley & Davis, 348-350 Lytham Road, Blackpool FY4 1DW, be and is hereby appointed the Liquidator of the Company for the purposes of such winding-up.”
Will be interesting if anyone knows what's going on, and the possible concequences.0 -
the London Gazette link also puts OneStop Phone Shop in the equation. This is a lot of cashback deals in the air if it's true?
Edit: actually reading the gazette bit, I wonder if these are all the 'original' companies that existed which carphone warehouse bought. They now all trade under Carphone Warehouse as trademarks so are just shells. This winding up is to just formally close the previous incarnations to save on filing accounts etc. for each individual 'company' I wonder0 -

Yes I wondered whether it was the former companies that were being wound up. However, it does look a tad suspicious.0 -
the companies house e2save.com Ltd is registered to a blackpool address, while a WHOIS on e2save.com brings up the domain registraint as CPW, Loughborough... Dont think its the same company.0

According to my phone documentation both OSPS & e2save are divisions of Carphone Warehouse Ltd & registered no is 2142673 & their status is "active"Jertzy x

Yes they are different companies E2save is not a company it is just the trading name of carphone warehouse ltd.
No point in getting people worried.0 -

Sounds like you could all be right. The Carphone Warehouse simply 'winding-up' the old companies no longer trading on their own.
Thanks to you all. I'll be able to sleep now!0
