Labyrinth Of Passion, starring Antonio Banderas Only Pedro Almodóvar, one of Spain’s most successful directors, could conceive of a convoluted plot like this and make it work. Labyrinth Of Passion is his second feature and is a cinematic marriage between John Waters and Billy Wilder, demonstrating his emerging talents as a stylised auteur. His trademark love of vivid colours and complex plots – a labyrinthine interweaving of the lives and loves of his characters – are in evidence along with his lively mix of sex maniacs, singers, drug addicts and drag queens.
