What's the deal?
Between 30 June and 27 July Nectar is running a Summer sale where it'll halve the number of points needed to redeem products, meaning you'll get twice as much for your points. Each week it'll discount a different section and there'll be a reminder in the weekly e-mail. There are no details on its site yet, but these are confirmed by Nectar iself.
WARNING! These sales (especially on DVDs) tend to run out quick, which is why I warn you in advance in the weekly e-mail so you can be one of the first to get it on the Saturday.
THIS WEEK: 30 June to 6 July - 50% off Nectar To Your Door
This week starts with the Nectar to your Door Sale which will include 50% off of a range of electrical items including a Samsung MP3 Player, Sony Cordless Headphones and a Sony iPod docking station.
WEEK 2: (7-13 July) Half Price DVD's
WEEK 3: (14 - 20 July) Half Price Magazines
WEEK 4: (21- 27 July) 50% off £20 Theatre Tokens
How to redeem
Just go to the Nectar Website and click on the offer. (Each promotion doesn't go live until Saturday so for now there is no information on next week's deal).
Where else to get cheap stuff
There are usually some good bargains to be had in the sale. However, it's always worth doing a quick check at price comparison websites, Pricerunner*, Kelkoo* or Shopping.com* - even if it's just to see how much you're saving!
Further Info
It's also worth reading Loyalty Schemes. Tricks to improve your stash of Nectar, Airmiles, Tesco & others, which details a range of generally available loopholes to increase your points stash.

Hi,
The post has now been amended. The Nectar press office informed us it was CDs but unfortunately they got it wrong!0 -

That's beause it's not Saturday yet
When do these tend to go live? I'll be up with our 7 week old DS and a couple of expressed bottles through the night tonight giving DW a break :A , so is it worth popping on the website at say 2 or 3 in the morning?
Cheers

Just snapped up a Samsung 2GB MP3 player for 8850 points

Thought I'd do a quick google products search to see how much these offers can be bought for online, I'm sure there may be cheaper sites that are not on Google products, but I wanted a quick & dirty search. Taking 500 points to be worth £2.50 I get the following
Samsung MP3 player - 8,850 pts = £44.25 Cheapest on Google Product £71
Sony headphones - 3,050 pts = £15.25 - Cheapest on Google Product - £15.03
Tosh DVD - 3,850 pts = £19.25 - Cheapest on Google Product - £26.36
Cordless Phones - 5,500 pts = £27.50 - Cheapest on Google Product - £27.49
Sony Micro Hi-fi - 6,900 pts = £34.50 Cheapest on Google Product - £49.17
Logic 3 ipod dock MIP103- 3,400 pts = £17 Cheapest on Google Product - £22.99
The 2 in red look the great deals, the others maybe not so much. Still I have 43,000 points to use and I don't think any of the offers in the next 3 weeks will be any good for me.
Hope someone finds this useful.
Cheers

I was just looking at the Nectar sale too. We dont ususally go to the theatre, but I might get some of the theatre tokens in week 4 to buy panto tickets in December. Might even treat MIL and Mum. They dont have to know I didn't actually pay for the tickets with cashAt least with these tokens I can afford to buy better seats than if I was paying cash.
I have just had a quick look at the theatres near me that are part of the chain that takes the tokens (http://www.theatretokens.com/consumer/showtheatres.html) and loads of seats are already booked !:hello: Danigrace :hello:0
