ALL Virgin Media Broadband custtomers be aware they have announced that as of 1st July they will be charging for telephone support on Broadband upto £1 a minute with a 10p connection charge this is a Rip Off if the fault is with them why should the consumer have to pay. When it was NTL ALL customer asssistance was free of charge so value for money from Virgin I think not along with the current spat with Sky over access to Sky 1 the future for cable broadband in the UK now looks bleak as Virgin have a monoply.

They say its because of all the the dumb calls they get that are not fault related and if it is a genuine fault they will reimburse the money spent."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Think you'll find most big companies charge you for helplines , VMs cutomer services and faults numbers are still free , only BB support will be chargable , and it will be 25p a min not £1 , AND its only to stop questions that could otherwise be answered by 150 or 151 , if its a genuine call the cost will be refunded .the future for cable broadband in the UK now looks bleak as Virgin have a monoply.:mad:0 -
I noticed the change in fees - I as on the phone for c.30 minutes to ther support - they were terrible. Basically the fault was with the cable not my competence. This would have cost me £7.60 for a fault that was down to them!!!!!
I find it unplausable that they will refund the cost of the call when it is their error, given my experience of their poor billing.
Therefore is this change a material event that can trigger a switch even if in contract? Does any one know?

If you believe that then you have more faith or trust in this cowboy outfit than most sensible people have!:rotfl: My advice, tell Vermin Media where they can stick their so called service; they can't even deliver the speeds they charge you for.
