10p Listing Day - June 14th !!!!!!

12 June 2007
What’s the deal?
This Thursday 14 June 2007 , eBay* is having a 10p Listing Day, so it's a great time to dejunk those cupboards.
What’s included?
The offer’s valid on Auction-style auctions. See full T&Cs
How much will I pay?
While it only costs 10p to list your item, you’ll still have to pay a sale charge if someone buys it. This is a percentage of the auction’s closing price.
As an example, if you sell your item for £28 you’ll pay only a 10p listing fee, then £1.47 sale charge. See a full breakdown of eBay fees.
How to make the biggest savings.
It’s worth remembering you don't pay a sale charge if your item doesn’t sell; so if no one buys it you’ll only lose 10p.
Also normally, the more expensive your item, the more expensive the listing fee. For instance items priced under 99p cost only £15p to list, whereas items over £100 cost £2. So the biggest savings are on items with a high starting price. Though you’ll still save a bundle if you’re listing lots of small items.

* Using these links helps the site stay ad-free and free to use, as they’re ‘affiliated links’ which invisibly take you via commercial price comparison services like Moneysupermarket or Find, which then pay this site per click
You shouldn’t notice any difference, the links don’t impact the product at all and the editorial line (the things I write) is NEVER impacted by the revenue. If it isn’t possible to get an affiliate link for the best product, it is still recommended and still included. For the sake of transparency go to www.ebay.co.uk for an unaffiliated link. What is it?
For the entire day of Thursday 14th June 2007 (local UK time), sellers who list one or more items in an eligible category using the Auction-style format will pay a 10 pence Insertion Fee per item they list. Please see below for more details.
Another CLD, so expect selling prices to be depressed again, due to the amount of junk and multiple listings, although it is a great opporrtunity to minimise your listing fees for the next 90 days.

ebay is VERY quiet at the moment, the transaction levels and average selling prices are much lower than they were this time last year, and coupled with the lack of USA exposure, the UK site are doing all they can to increase activity.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0

I remember last summer we had end to end cheap days as well..so maybe they try to keep the profile up at this time.
Unfortunately Thursday is a bad one for me as I'll be away at auction end and prefer not to risk it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I'm glad it's not just me...
I blame the high fees.The money, Dave...0 -
Can't work out whether BINs are included - the T&Cs show that 'Multiple Items' are excluded, but exclusions don't specifically exclude single BINs.I only exist in my own mind - if you can see, hear or read me, you are a product of my imagination.0

What’s included?
Only items listed in British Pounds Sterling on eBay.co.uk using the Auction-style format are included.
Taken from T&C's - I guess this excludes single item BIN's - also mentions that BIN's will still be charged the upgrade fee - of 5p or whatever!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

i don't understand - why for the next 90 days?
That's the time limit for relisted items to qualify for a listing fee credit if they sell the seond time. It's not so moneysaving for items which still fail to sell when relisted though. The thread to which Steve has linked explains it.0
