They're closing ALL OF THEIR SHOPS.

The shop in the St. John's Centre Leeds closed a couple of weeks ago. I assumed that it was for a refurb.0

There's one on my local Hight St - Always consdered them a poor man's Argos - Many of the same products but less staff and usually quite untidy shoddy store. But open on Sundays which would be handy unlike my local Argos until recently. As we already have an Argos near as Well - I expect the site will be sold off to someone else.0

what are they doing where Index is within a Littlewoods store? I would assume that they just close the department, and reclaim the space for the rest of the store . . . . .0

While I hope ( and am sure ) some staff may get one or two good bargins .... got a funny feeling most of the mega stuff will be SNAFFLED ( erm I mean reserved ) by people higher up in the INDEX pecking order !0

I thought about clearence sales too when I heard about this last night
but watch the prices at Argos creep up now they have lost their main competitor
