E2save cashback experience
Options
Just thougt I would share my experience with E2save and cashback.
I took out a 12 month Orange contract in Feb 06 via E2save. Under the terms of the agreement I had to send off the cashback vouchers at 4, 8 and 12 monthly intervals. The 4 and 8 monthly cheques arrived on time within the stated 45 days.
The last voucher i sent in at the end February, waited the 45 day period and heard nothing so I rang E2save and the operator said they had not received the voucher. I said this was sent recorded delivery so seemed highly unlikely. He then asked for the recorded delivery reference number and proceeded to check this on the Royal Mail website. He then said according to the website this was "on its way". I said this doesnt sound right to me, to which he replied , hang on and i'll ring Royal Mail for you and find out whats going on. After hanging on the line for an age I was then cut off !!
I then checked the Royal Mail website tracking for recorded delivery items and it indeed did say "its on its way". I then rang Royal Mail who said this was not the case and the letter was delivered two days after it was sent.
I then asked why the website said differently and was informed that they were currently investigating E2save as they are scanning the receipt of items in the wrong order which causes the website to say this. (Not sure what she meant but something around "received" and "signed for" order).
I then rang E2save back, spoke to a different operator, mentioned my conversation with Royal Mail and that they were sending me documentary evidence that the voucher was delivered and signed for on time. She then said that she would pass this on to head office and I would receive my cheque within two weeks.
Today, two weeks later and the cheque has arrived.
So, after a bit of hassle at the end worked for me with a free Motorola Razr and £40 Quidco cash back but consider carefully.
Hope this helps

Good report Hayzee, I've often contemplated the cashback deals but oyu hear so many people having trouble that I haven't bothered.
Good to hear a positive story0 -
the intesresting point here is that Royal mail is investigating e2save. They are probably deliberately scanning in the wrong order to make customers think they didn't receive the letters. Appalling.0

Should we interpret this as "Don't do the cash back deals" or "Don't worry, as long as you have your receipt and Royal Mail say it has been delivered, it's all good"
I am asking because I was about to go and get a phone just now!!
Cheers, G0 -

I think you just have to consider what the particular deal is worth to you. And also is it still a good deal if you dont get all the cashback. Bearing in mind their are strict terms and conditions to keep to regarding the timing of the sending in of the cashback vouchers.
Dont forget to do your research, read these forums and check out Quidco for additional cashback.
Good luck
