    Hmmm,
It's the first time I've put a menu planner together, so we'll have to see how it goes for this week.

Sat - Salmon in pastry with brocolli
Sun - Lentil bake (in laws with dietry requirements coming round)
    Mon - Fishcakes and salad
Tue - Left over curry and rice (in freezer) for DH, I'm off out to my friends house for a chinese!!!!!!!
Wed - nothing because DH is out so maybe just something for me out of the freezer which needs eating up
    Thurs - Cauliflower cheese
    Fri - Sausage and chips

I think I have most of the things required already so hopefully it will be a cheap shopping trip tomorrow!!

Hope it's ok for me to join in....?

I've been sorting out meal plans for the next few weeks in a vain attempt to cut back on spending so here's what I've come up with for next week.

Sat - Quiche, Veg & potato salad
Sun - Honey baked gammon, parsley sauce, mash & peas
Mon - Gammon (leftovers from yesterday) tomato, avocado & mozzarella salad
    Tues - Sausage Casserole
Weds - Slow cooker curry (recipe courtesy of Gingham Ribbon)
Thurs - lamb chops with lemon & mint & potatoes
Fri - Salmon in a parcel & potato salad

I usually do my meat and veg shop in the local village on a Saturday morning and have most of the other things I need already in. The parsley, mint & basil are all growing in the garden so that helps.

right ,Ive been looking at all your meal plans for weeks now but never got round to doing my own ,but Im sitting here at a ridiculous time of the morning(4.59am)cos I cant sleep , so Ive been using my time to menu plan ,its a good week to start as weve just had some big bills come in , so here goes.......

sunday...going out for sunday lunch .

monday...sausages, mash, carrots, cabbage, tinned peas ...already got all these items apart from cabbage.

tuesday...jkt spuds with either tuna or cheese, got the spuds and tuna ,just need to buy a decent size block of cheese preferably low fat variety as I need to take my diet in hand as well as spending.

wednesday...my fave ,quorn lasagna ,potato wedges, salad .

thursday...shepherds pie ,carrots, peas ,brocolli ,

friday ...tomato and bacon pasta ,garlic bread.

Its not so bad this week as my husband bought a meat pack from the butchers last week and its all in the freezer .
theres just fresh veggies ,fruit ,bread and milk to buy and packing up for the kids, as my cupboards are reasonably well stocked ,its a real challenge for me to stay away from the shops but Im gonna give it 100% effort .

    breakfasts...cereals/toast
    lunches ...sarnis ,soup ,beans etc
