If you send a lot of text messages abroad, you may find this service useful. I did.

Text messages to anywhere in the world cost between 5p and 7.5p. You buy them as bundles using PayPal.
You can use it in conjunction with your free UK text message bundles/free UK text allocation as you just text a UK number and it gets forwarded to the foreign number you want.
The charge is your usual UK mobile text message charge plus 5p/7.5p.
Works out a lot cheaper than the usual 20p a text rip off. And most UK mobile companies don't allow you to use your text bundles to text abroad so there's no normal way of getting cheap texts.
I've been using this service for about a year now without any problems to text people in Malaysia and have saved a small fortune in the process.
Yes, it would have been cheaper just to phone people but sometimes you do need to send a text.
Anyone else got any tips/cheap methods of texting from the UK to abroad?
