MSE Andrea also has epilepsy. They posted [thread=31675]this thread[/thread] asking for exactly the same thing. You can link to the thread in all your posts and spread the word.I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

If you're still using firefox, you can do it quickly with adblock
After you instal it, restart firefox,
Right-click a smilie on any page and select adblock image
In the pop-up that appears, delete the very last bit of the url it shows and replace it with a star so it says:
http://img.moneysavingexpert.com/smilies/*
all images smilies served up by mse will be blocked0 -
At risk of upsetting you ...
For me, in IE they are not animated. In Firefox, yes. Is that normal, or what can I look at here to try and be useful?0 -
sra, can the wildcard be at the beginning as well?
ie http://*.fastclick.com/*
yeah, I know I could get a larger Hosts file list0 -

I've barely used it so can't really advise0 -
I just installed adblock and it stopped the smilies ok by stopping Firefox from loading. Had to run System Restore to get rid.0
