What's the deal?
To celebrate its release, Asda's offering the latest James Bond flick, Casino Royale, for a killer £007 (ie seven quid) - less than half the price the typical big name movie stores charge.
It should be available from Mon 19 to Sun 25 March and although Asda has stocked up in preparation, this is not only likely to be a big sell-out but a licence to thrill too!
How to get your copy
As it's an in-store only offer, simply pop in to your nearest Asda. The deal's available in all stores across the UK and Northern Ireland, which have an entertainment department. To find your nearest store, check Asda's website.
Why's it selling this at such a low price?
Publicly, Asda states it wants to challenge the online market for cheap DVD sales. Though let's be honest, it's just a typical supermarket loss leader - a cheap price to bring people into the store.
Prepared to dress up for a freebie thrill?
The supermarket is also offering a free copy to the first suitably attired Daniel Craig look-a-like to turn up at each store. So if you think you could pull off the look of the newest James Bond, it's worth giving your local store a call to see if this freebie's still up for grabs.
Read Asda's press release for more details.
An alternative if Asda's stock plummets
Morrisons is offering the DVD instore for £8.99; still a decent price considering the online its tough to find under £13. To find your closest store, enter your postcode on Morrisons website.

I went in to Asda Slough yesterday in the afternoon and guess what - they were sold out !!you know when you're getting older - the wife says, "let's go upstairs and make love" and you reply, "I can't do both" !!0

I received an email from mymoviestream.com (online dvd rental) who are offering the 2 disc collectors edition dvd for 12.99 incl p&p plus official movie poster, PLUS 1 months free dvd rental from them. Not bad really if you want all those things. However, quick scan on ebay shows casino royale selling for less than £7.oo (some aren't even selling).Sorry but please keep your signature to 4 lines in length - MSE Forum Team 20

its cheap coz its a crap movie0

Here's to hoping these stores continue this kind of promotion in the future with the big releases. It's an obvious ploy to getting people into the stores but I'll gladly pop in at dinner time for just the DVD!

:shhh: You seem to have entered the wrong forum - there's an abundance of online forums where you can post movie reviews however this is a bargains forum. :idea:0 -
