National Breastfeeding Awareness Week (NBAW) 2005 is taking place from 8th to 14th May 2005.
Following the success of previous years, we are encouraging young mothers and those who are least likely to breastfeed to give breastfeeding a go! As well as focusing on benefits for both mother and baby, we are also exploring the supportive relationship many mothers can have with their partners, relations and friends while breastfeeding.
Our range of promotional materials will promote these key messages and currently available (see order form..link below.. ). National Breastfeeding Awareness Week 2005 materials will include postcards, pens, keyrings, lanyards and a set of three A3 posters
The campaign relies heavily on local action and awareness-raising events in individual communities, and, on a national level, will also be exploring the attitudes men have to breastfeeding and the involvement fathers can have.

I wished upon a star tonight that I would see you once more,
To hold you in my arms and tell you how much I love you,
To hear your voice, to kiss your cheek oh for just one more time,
But all I have are memories and a heart full of love and tears.
To hold you in my arms and tell you how much I love you,
To hear your voice, to kiss your cheek oh for just one more time,
But all I have are memories and a heart full of love and tears.

Sorry, but I honestly don't think this is really appropriate as a 'Freebie' unless a person is actively involved in healthcare promotion. Unfortunately I feel people may just apply on the 'it's free so I'll have it' basis, which unfortunately impacts on the costs of this awareness campaign and consequently the NHS.
Really sorry.

i see the point but you could say similar about getting free stuff from small businesses on an 'it's free so I'll have it' basis', which could affect the business if the they send out a 1000 samples and get hardly no sales increases. Have to trust people to do the right thing.0 -

Free pens and keyrings...go get them. For all those people moaning about ordering freebies like this, well, I get free pens shoved through the door on a regular basis, they promote a variety of charitable organisations, not only do I get the free pens but so does everybody in the area where I live, I expect it is a nationwide thing so I have no qualms about ordering freebies which promote anything.0

I am employed by NHS to promote awareness of Breastfeeding amongst other remits. It states in the press release if by applying for any items you can then make more people aware of breastfeeding.
THE RESOURSES ARE NOT MADE TO ORDER ONCE THEY ARE GONE THEY ARE GONE AND we would rather people used them than the products being over stocked into nhs supply cupboards. If one person who orders uses the pen and in turn either accesses the website or someone else does then we have achieved our goal.
This is a case of yes it is free and yes apply the keyrings are designed so you may insert a picture of your loved ones be it a pet or children!!! Why not apply for a postcard or poster to put in a shop window, you may rest assured you are not ripping off the NHS nor tax payers money in fact if you were to see the cupboards we have full of previous awareness days you would be mortified.
One more point the order form does ask if you run a group or work in promotions HOWEVER if you answer truhfully you want them for your own use then they will limit the giveaway, obviously you will only need a few pens BUT AS I HAVE STRESSED I IS IMPORTANT THE MESSAGE GETS OUT..I wished upon a star tonight that I would see you once more,
To hold you in my arms and tell you how much I love you,
To hear your voice, to kiss your cheek oh for just one more time,

Thank you for this. I breastfed my daughter for 18 months, and so am keen to receive some of these free information awareness products, to help spread the word, and to improve awareness and acceptance. I've ordered some to give to friends who are expecting so that they have advice at hand.
Many thanks

"Awareness" is the key word. If you order it, you are aware of it.... Job done.0

I have to agree too, this is not what I would consider a suitable freebie.0
