Cheaper Chargeable Calls for Virgin Media ( Ex Cable Customers).

Options
I know its been mentioned before ,but seeing as a lot of Virgin Media (Ex Cable ) Customers are likely to visit this sub forum, its worth pointing out that if Virgin Media Customers sign up for 18185 and use their 0808 Freephone Access Number to make their CHARGEABLE Geographical,NGN,Mobile and Intl calls, they will no doubt save money.

Visit: http://www.18185.co.uk/mobilerates.php

Their is a 4p connection charge on 18185 as opposed to Virgins 6p. (Virgin do not raise a connection charge to call the 0808 Freephone Number.)

EG: Peak Rate / Evening Rate Geographical Call on 18185 1p a minute. Where as Virgin charge 3p a minute.

Even more savings are available for certain calls with either The Phone Co-Op (Home User tariff - 4.7p per call) or First Telecom (per second billing, 1.2p minimum charge)

Just swapped to Virgin form BT and I'm getting all calls free for a lmited period, and after that only free weekend and evening. Who's the cheapest override company for cable lines that I can use after that period please?

Is this a cable phone line, or Virgin via CPS on a BT line?

If cable line then you aren't going to get anywhere near the savings you can from a BT line, moving from BT line to cable is never really a good idea unless you got a very good deal, as the high call costs quickly wipe out any saving. You could use 18185 via their 0808 access number, for landlines instead of 0p/min you would get from a BT line it's 1p/min (+connection fee).

If you have a BT line but your calls go via Virgin, then you could use 18185 for landline calls when not free with Virgin and for International calls and mobile calls which even with Virgin add on options are rip-offs. Certain calls could go back via BT (1280) such as 0845 / 0870, handy for the free caller display from BT.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
