Help me organise my life

Not sure if this is in the right place.

I am going to fill a notebook with 'everything' i need to know. I.e. birthdays, contact numbers, christmas list, menus, outgoings, etc. Was wondering if anybody had any ideas of what useful information would be good to put in my book of 'everything' to help me organise my life!

  • I have a list of the dates direct debits etc come out of account so I'm not caught short. Also make a note of things like when the mot, car tax etc is due as they're easy to overlook.
I have started to buy birthday cards when I see appropriate ones for people and stick them in a diary at the birthday date. For the mega organised it is good to keep a note of presents you have given so you don't duplicate them specially if you have a prezzie box like me.

When family members have an illness eg chickenpox, write down the date and name of the person . My mum never knew which one of us had ,had what.
Write down things like tetanus shots too. They are for a lot longer than they used to be, 8 years now I think but handy to know if you are still safe if you have cut yourself on a rusty tool.
Size of windows for curtains, area of walls in different rooms and how much wallpaper/paint they took to decorate them.

I've recently started this too, large A4 hardbacked book which was about £1, will decorate it soon with photos of us all etc, sections so far include

Profile for each of us inc allergies, medical details etc, each child has a section for likes, dislikes, allergies, medical, medication, routine etc etc, may seem over cautious but couple of years ao I was taken into hospital suddenly, me and DP were seperated, and this type of info would have been helpful!

Renewal dates - inc car stuf, insurance policies, tv licence, mobile, sky etc

Direct debits - for each account with amount and dates

    Favourite meals and recipes

To do list - cleaning routine daily jobs, weekly jobs, monthly jobs

A list of to be done in 2007 inc decorating etc with plans, personal goals

    Money saving goals

    Monthly spending record

    Useful contact numbers

Animal details, inc vets, vaccine dates etc

    Christmas list for cards

    Christmas gift list

Important dates list inc birthdays, anniversaries etc

All bills, statements etc filed seperately. Have several of those files with multi pockets one for each thing like income, outgoings, important documents, animals, kids, OU, car related etc etc
One day I might be more organised...........

I have a folder in which I keep all bills, bank statements etc in at the front I have print calander pages for the months on this I write in different colour different in and out goings of my account and OH's account. When I was to know what the money situation will be in a few weeks i can quickly check roughly what is going in and out between now and then.

I will be soon adding our basic monthly shopping list etc so if I can't do the online monthly shop OH will know roughly what to buy!
