 Back in 2006 the Post Office had a shake up on their prices. You may also be aware that alot of post offices are closing especially in remote areas that rely on the service. This will be longer waits at the PO.
Now if you are happy sending your parcel at maybe twice or even three times the price for an unsecured service then this post is not for you and I am sorry if I have wasted your time. But if you have a few minutes this may just
save you loads of time and alot of real cash.
I do not work for any of the companies mentioned.Just happy to save you money and hopefully time.Read on...................
Alot of us will be saying that now there are long queues and other customers and staff maybe get a little flustered at seeing an Ebayer off load maybe five
,six or even ten parcels(I stress parcels not packages).Of course it maybe that the person is from a business or just sending presents to friends or family to addresses in the UK and maybe further afield.
My question is are you happy to give the post office maybe £10 extra to send that parcel in the UK or will you try a service that may charge just
£3.99?No queueing and you could also drop it at your local depot at 0800.
How about ten parcels costing £100 more at the post office but you pay just
£39.99.These go tracked and insured usually up to £50 but some couriers will
give more usually for a small premium. In some cases I can also send up to 30kg at the same price of £3.99
Please don't tell me you want to use the post office to send your parcels
because you are happy they will stay open. The parcel you have sent may not go secured and if it's lost you get nothing back. You may have just paid
£12.46 to send it(over 10kg and under 20kg)and your happy with that?
£12.46-£3.99 you do the maths..Mine went secured and tracked ,did yours?
I would love(well it is the 14th)to hear of your fantastic high price quotes on
the Parcelforce website that get close to the £3.99 charged which is usually collected by Parcelforce or DHL.Go on tell me you were charged over £15 .
Stop being ripped off ,you have a choice.Use them that way competition can grow ,which can only be good for us as the consumer.
I know it can take some people time to change. It took me a few hours to decide to change my bank account from 0.1% to over 6% on my current acc.
It took me two days to ask the wife out.
Five minutes to switch our energy supplier.
Four minutes to change our broadband etc
Two minutes to use an over ride provider for international calls and UK
As for the post office and it's parcel charges......Five minutes......
There's more but not now.

Make the change NOW!!!!!!!I thought you were a moneysaver!!:money:
Thanks for reading my five minute post.I hope you might make the change.
All of a sudden your Ebay sale maybe sold because of your improved P&P.
Finally the couriers I use have a 97% positive feedback. If you are not happy with that as things can go wrong sometimes, this is not for you.The good thing is that the Post Office is always perfect at 100%,aren't they?

if you are talking about selective2007 their customer service isnt that good...
and 97% feedback from a powerseller isnt great either...there are others out there better.0 -
I've read your post twice and I can't see a link or a name of the courier that charges £3.99
Sorry if it is in the post but if I've really just missed it...can you put it in another post on it's own please.0 -

I've used Kevin the Courier (selective 2007) and agree that customer service is not good, but although you may not get a reply to your query/email he does act on it.
I have now used them for 5 parcels and they have all eventually been collected and delivered. Once they had been collected the delivery was very quick.
You do need to be patient and persistent to use this service, one of his feedbacks reads 'okay if your housebound and in no hurry' (or something like that).
Good value for £3.99.

I use this service - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UK-NEXT-DAY-PAYPERDROP-PARCEL-DELIVERY-SERVICE-MAX_W0QQitemZ170081364421QQihZ007QQcategoryZ121879QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem
They have excellent feedback of 99.5% (over 2000 +'s this month with only 2 negs). Have been 100% for me personally (about 25 shipments).
They use DHL, were helpful to me when I cocked up my first booking.
Better still, the DHL driver will collect packages from my garage to save me having to be in.
They cost £5.99 for next day delivery, personally I wouldn't use anyone else.0 -

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Another Vote for Pay Per Drop^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I'd recommend PayPerDrop over selective2007 any day - yes it costs a couple of quid more but their customer service is 2nd to none.
I had a problem a couple of days ago, so sent them an email... in 5 mins the phone rang and it was payperdrop and they were very friendly and sorted it!0 -

From the link scroll down.Selective is one of the couriers I use.Another was mentioned on here a few weeks ago which I may start using in the future.
Having evaluated the 3% of negative feedback some maybe at the customers
fault.I know he may not have the best customer service but my parcels have always arrived ,at a fantastic price and I am happy to read the positives also.
Maybe some posters can also recommend their couriers.Post Office anyone?0 -
These 2 offer ParcelForce delivery from time to time:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/no-re5erve30
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/ANDIEZDEALZ
I have heard good reports of no-re5erve30 and have used ANDIEZDEALZ and they have great Customer Service!

These are the ones.I will be putting these in my favourites this time.
